The three appeals of Aristotle
When explaining rhetorical analysis and rhetorical situation to a friend, I would explain the differences by giving examples of each. A rhetorical analysis can most easily be described as an informal powerpoint or a cartoon. It is used to describe how someone is making the point rather than discussing if they made their point successfully. On the other end is rhetorical situation. It is used in more formal situations, such as addressing a group of people.
When writing online I tend to appeal more to pathos. When writing to my friends I like them to know how I am really feeling because we all know things can get taken out of context when communicating over the internet. Also while writing online I appeal some to logos, especially in an assignment like so.
