In my opinion, the arguments in each article can be conclude as follows:

1.Linguistic identity is as vital as the ethnic identity, for it represents a person itself. One cannot take pride in himself until he can take pride in his language.
2.Students have the right to speak their own patterns and varieties language, and a nation proud of its diverse heritage and its cultural and racial variety will preserve its heritage of dialects.
3.It is critical for a student to try on a variety of voices and interpretive schemes to write.

In the first website, Wikipedia, Literacy refers to the ability to read for knowledge and write coherently and think critically about the written word. It also gives a definition of related term, Visual literacy, which includes in addition the ability to understand all forms of communication, be it body language,[1] pictures, maps, or video.
What’s more, Wikipedia also demonstrates the deep meaning of literacy and how to develop it. The primary sense of literacy still represents the lifelong, intellectual process of gaining meaning from a critical interpretation of the written or printed text. Key to all literacy is reading development,

In the second website, it illustrates literacy more specifically. The term may also refer to familiarity with literature and to a basic level of education obtained through the written word.

In the third website, it describes literacy as an applying ability, I agree with what it says “Literacy is not in isolated bits of knowledge but in students' growing ability to use language and literacy in more and broader activities”.
Besides, this website sees the definition of literacy as dynamic, evolving, and reflects the continual changes in our society.
