I might say that 'the rhetorical situation' is the situation usually happens when we communicate others; for example, we can guess what kind of words we are going to use before we talk others such as with friends or with professor. 'The rhetorical analysis', basically question, is one of the effective ways to approach your topic, respond to the needs, and expect of your readers before you write any kind of writing, and it is composed of four elements: write, reader, text, and medium.
Writing in online, i appeal both pathos and ethos. i think these two things cannot be separate when you want to convince people because even we have a lot of ethos, which means reason, sometimes, people do not believe the reasons are true or false. At that time, the pathos, which means emotion, can make people the reason more acceptable and believable.
