Chapter 4- Predergast
1.) Is her definition of reverse discrimination consistent with everyone else's definition? It's not a topic iI'm very firmiliar with and was curious if the evidence she uses is sufficient enough to hold up her definition.
2.) Do the racial injustices that she talks about related to literacy happen today?
The chapter discusses the President and topics of literacy including racial prejudices towards african americans. Like we discussed a little in class last time, she argues that whites have been using literacy as a tool to use for themselves. By doing this, a racial barrier is created. The amount of evidence she provides does lead me to believe her. However, we don't see much of the other side of the argument which makes it pretty hard to disagree with her.
