The writer Gee tried to use the article to prove the existent of difference between conversations that take place in different circumstances. Like the two example that Gee raised in his article: the conversation between mother and child is mainly consist of easy oral languages and with special words like dinosaur; the card game lead to another special area that use special words like attack points, defense points and special abilities.
For myself, I feel myself to be literate in movies , lab report, computer games, books, TV shows and traveling.
