reiki response

First, what I think is done well for this essay is that the description is pretty clearly and straightforward in general. It does not have many weasel words which make sentences informal. I only found two sentences which involve weasel words. In the second paragraph,"It is said that...". (by whom, where, and when?), and in the third paragraph, "Critics of such views..." (Which critics?). However, the essay does include specific name and explain in other descriptions, such as "American Cancer Society" and "controversy about the effectiveness" (not just controversy).

Second, I do not understand the meaning of the sentence "useful non-evasive from of boosting an individual's immune system". Also, I am confused with how can Reiki balances energy forces to be in line with those of the universe. I am not sure what the writer is saying.
