Hills Like White Elephants
Some of the dialogue I liked was "It's really an awfully simple operation, Jig," the man said. "It's not really an operation at all." This is where I understood that they were fighting and talking about the girl getting an abortion. Another dialogue I liked was when the American keeping saying "You must realize", and the girl said, "Can't we maybe, stop talking?". I don't think she really wanted the abortion, but she wanted to make the American happy and would anything to be happy again.
I don't like Hemingway's style of writing because it confused me too much. He left a lot out of the story and left it up to the reader to kind of figure out what was going on.
