Chang, Tsung O. “Effects of Fast Foods, Rising Blood Pressure and Increasing Serum Cholesterol on Cardiovascular Disease in China.” The American Journal of Cardiology 97.11 (2006): 1676-1678. Web. 23 Apr. 2013.

This article provides valuable information about the health effects of eating fast food. It is especially useful because it talks about a part of the world where fast food is newer, and therefor the effects are more readily visible.

Martindale, Diane. “Burgers on the Brain.” New Scientist. (2003). Web. 23 Apr. 2013.

This article delves into why fast food is addictive, and does a good job of explaining our body's response to fast food's harmful components.

Prentice, A. M. and Jebb, S. A. “Fast foods, energy density and obesity: a possible mechanistic link.” Obesity Reviews 4.4 (2003): 187–194. Web. 23 Apr. 2013.

This article is more specific. It talks almost solely about one of the many bad effects of fast food (energy density). This is useful in providing evidence for one of my points.

Calvert, Sandra L. “Children as Consumers: Advertising and Marketing.” The Future of Children. 18.1 (2008): 205-234. Web. 23 Apr. 2013.

This article explains how fast food companies (among others) target children. This is useful in explaining why fast food is a habit for many americans, as it has been thrown at them since a young age.

University of Minnesota. "Fast Food As Family Meals Limits Healthy Food Intake, Increases Obesity Risk." ScienceDaily, (2007). Web. 23 Apr. 2013.

Once again, this article provides more useful insight into health effects of fast food. It looks at the family meal aspect as well, and how as a family it becomes destructive.
