Literacy Meaning

Literacy is an ability to read and write. Reading and writing include spelling and decoding, however, in order to understand the meaning of the text, people need to have literacy. Reading is easy, but understand what people have written down is not the easy process to many people. Obviously, there are many meanings of one word. The writers may use the words to express something while readers understanding them in another way, which makes their reading skill not effective.
