Definition of Literacy

The basic definition of literacy from the websites i found above is the ability to read and write. In my opinion, literacy has deeper level of meaning. It also represents ability to analyze, comprehend, and understand the significance, along with functions of literature from old time and present day. In other word, it means how much knowledges you have in order to live in society, the capacity to identify the language people use in daily life.
