Rhetorical situation is writing under a certain situation by using a unique way to express by words. With the four key elements, writer, reader, text or medium, writer is able to approach the appropriate way to catch the topic, express ideas and responds maximally.

Rhetorical analysis is analyzing the rhetorical situation. As a writer, fully analysis your rhetorical situation is the foundation of writing. And basically, The more thoroughly you understand you rhetorical situation, the better expression you can make.

While I writing online, I appeal most to logos, rather than pathos, or ethos. I tend to spend time looking for data which could support or reinforce my view. As far as I can see, in order to make your writing cogent, evidence would be the one of the key elements.
