Final Project Idea

For my final project, it'll be about my last paper I wrote, which was about the negative effects media has of adolescents (such as poor body image and everything else). This means I'll be teaching more than anything. Because I'll be teaching information, a Prezi is the most logical choice for my project!
I'm going to start off with explaining what the problems are, (obesity, bulimia, and anorexia) and why these things are happening. My next point will be "life sized barbie", and this will show how unrealistic society has become. This goes hand and hand with the progression of the GI Joe figurine over the years. Then I will discuss how people have attempted to change these things in the past, and why they haven't worked. It'll be interesting and informative!

I think that it is really cool that you have decided to use that parallel to G.I Joe, and the same influence it has had on Boys and being "Jacked". I am very excited to see how this will turn out.

I agree, this could be a very interesting presentation and I also think you should look into the G.I Joe idea. That could be a really cool way to draw your viewer into the presentation

This sounds like a good idea because there definitely is a negative affect on people these day. People often model themselves and their self image after what they see in the media. This can cause young women to do harm to their body and develop bad lifestyle habits.

I think this could not only be a good project for your final but also a great learning experience for all women who are at risk of doing these things. Keep up the great work!

Ali a simple title will work best. With the Prezi its going to be more about the visual aspect so just keep the title simple... Media's Effect on Self Image.

I feel like this is a topic that you can work on and make really good. The fact that think media is effecting adolescents is a very interesting idea that you can expand on a lot.

I wish I could've expanded it a little bit though, I think it's right at 5 minutes. If you guys go watch it, let me know if you think it's long enough. I just posted it.

I haven't had a chance to look at your project Ali, however if you put the information you need into the presentation, time shouldn't be a problem. I believe the time concern is simply a guideline so focus more on getting your information in there and you should be good.
